Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s in Educational Management from Alberto Hurtado University, with a strong background in pedagogy and personalised education. A Religious Education teacher for Primary and Secondary School, he has devoted almost 20 years to school management and leadership, promoting students’ well-rounded development and the wellbeing of school communities. His career also includes extensive academic grounding in the humanities, philosophy and theology, as well as studies in journalism. Avilés currently leads with renewed energy, with a focus on educational excellence and on shaping individuals who are committed to a world in constant change.
Physical Education teacher, with a Master’s degree in Educational Management and Leadership and a postgraduate diploma in Educational Research. With more than 10 years of experience in education and 5 years in educational management, Camila is also a lecturer at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, where she supports the development of future teachers as leaders in educational management. She has been part of the team for the past 3 years serving as Deputy Academic Director for the division.
English Teacher for Primary and Secondary Education, with a Master’s degree in Applied Neuroscience for Early Childhood Education and 17 years of experience in classroom teaching and leadership roles. Her professional background brings together pedagogical innovation, neuroscience and socio-emotional development. Caralina holds certifications in Positive Discipline, Visible Thinking and digital tools, as well as advanced English proficiency (TOEIC C1 and Cambridge C1 Advanced) and a dual international certification in Leadership and Coaching. She currently leads the Primary School team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning culture.
Early Years educator from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, family mediator from Universidad de los Andes and holder of a postgraduate diploma in Educational Leadership from UC. Her professional life has been closely linked to Colegio Pedro de Valdivia Peñalolén for the past 25 years. For the last 15 years, Claudia has served in leadership roles, actively leading, coordinating, implementing, supporting and monitoring academic processes and activities, always guided by the belief that students should be the protagonists of their own learning. Her commitment to the well-rounded development of each student is reflected in her close collaboration with teachers and parents, working together to create an enriching and effective educational environment.
State-qualified Spanish teacher from the Metropolitan University of Educational Sciences, with extensive classroom teaching experience across primary education, mainstream secondary education, adult education, pre-university education and higher education institutions. Gloria has been a member of leadership teams in roles including Headteacher, Deputy Head, Counsellor, Coordinator and Head of Department. She has taught a range of courses both in her specialist subject and in education, transversal development and pedagogy. She has also supervised teaching placements for trainee teachers, both in subject specialism and guidance, delivered workshops in the field of education and worked as a pedagogical adviser in guidance and educational leadership. In addition, she has served as an adviser and trainer on a curriculum management platform.
Biology and Natural Sciences teacher from the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, with a Master’s degree in Pedagogical and Curriculum Management. Liliana has classroom experience in private, municipal and state-subsidised schools in Chile. She has also worked as an adviser on experimental activities and leadership teams. Liliana previously served as Academic Director and, since July 2017, has led the academic area of the Senior School division.
Physical Education, Sports and Recreation teacher from UMCE. Pamela has been part of the school since 1997, building a 28-year career within the institution. Of these, 18 years were spent teaching, including form tutor responsibilities, followed by the last 10 years serving as Deputy Director of Student Development. Since the arrival of ISP, she has also held the role of Safeguarding Lead.
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and qualified Primary Education teacher, with 18 years of classroom experience. Paula has served as Academic Coordinator and Primary School Director, specialising in active methodologies focused on wellbeing and the development of life skills. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in School Leadership, and her passion for reading continually inspires her to explore new strategies and pedagogical approaches that enrich students’ well-rounded development.
Music teacher and graduate in Musical Arts from the Metropolitan University of Educational Sciences, with a Master’s degree in Education, Human Relations and Family Studies, postgraduate qualifications in Psychopedagogy and Adolescent Psychology, and a diploma in Universal Design for Learning. Pilar has more than 15 years of experience at the school, 10 of them in the role of Deputy Director of Student Development.
Language teacher from the University of Santiago, with a Master’s degree in Educational Management and Administration from Universidad Mayor. After 8 years of classroom teaching and serving as a form tutor, Sergio took on the role of Academic Director across the four Pedro de Valdivia schools, a position he held for 7 years. Since 2017, he has been responsible for leading the Senior School division.
Early Years educator with a degree in Education and a postgraduate diploma in Curriculum and Assessment from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. She has been part of the school community for 25 years, 18 of which were spent teaching and serving as form tutor for her classes. Later, between 2018 and 2019, she worked as Curriculum Coordinator for Mathematics and Music in the Early Years division across the four Pedro de Valdivia schools. Since 2020, Andrea has served as Deputy Director of Student Development and Early Years Safeguarding Lead.
