With pride and enthusiasm, we celebrate the outstanding third place achieved by our Under-14 girls’ volleyball teamWith pride and enthusiasm, we celebrate the outstanding third place achieved by our Under-14 girls’ volleyball team in the Metropolitan School Volleyball League, demonstrating talent, commitment and great sporting spirit throughout the championship.The players from Colegio Pedro de Valdivia Peñalolén began the tournament in confident form, dominating the group stage with an unbeaten record and without dropping a single set. This placed them first in Group 5 and secured their direct qualification for the Gold Cup. In the final round-robin stage, our representatives claimed a strong 2-0 victory over Santa María de Lo Cañas (Group 1) and Colegio Mariano (Group 3), confirming their level of play and securing their place in the semi-finals.In a closely contested match for a place in the final, the team narrowly lost 2-1 to Liceo Manuel de Salas, who ultimately went on to become tournament champions. However, CPV’s volleyball players showed their character and class by winning the third-place match with a convincing 2-0 result against Santa María de Lo Cañas, thereby securing a well-deserved place on the podium.We would also like to offer special congratulations to Catalina, a student in Year 6 E and the youngest player in the squad, who was recognised as the championship’s best setter, reflecting both her talent and her promising future in school volleyball.We congratulate each of our players and their coaches on this wonderful achievement, which fills us with pride!
