This week, the winners of the CPV Peñalolén Spelling Bee represented the school in the English-Speaking Union (ESU) competition. The ESU is one of the world’s most prestigious organizations dedicated to promoting the English language; headquartered in London, it has a presence in over 40 schools across Chile.We are incredibly proud to congratulate our Spelling Bee winners, who represented Colegio Pedro de Valdivia Peñalolén with a performance distinguished by their courage, preparation, and excellent command of English throughout the competition.As the competition progressed beyond the initial rounds, the words became increasingly obscure, the pressure mounted, and the stage felt more imposing. Yet, our students rose to the occasion, facing the challenge head-on with steady voices and well-earned pride. Competing at the inter-school level, overcoming their fears, and demonstrating the serious commitment to English education at CPV proved to be a truly significant challenge.
