With great pride and admiration, we are delighted to share news that fills us with joy: Mateo, a 4°E student at Colegio Pedro de Valdivia Peñalolén, has stood out in the Chilean Classical Swimming Cup, a national competition that brings together the country’s top swimmers.This important championship took place at the iconic Kristel Köbrich Pool at the National Stadium and was held in three stages during the months of March, April and May, bringing together competitors of all ages from across Chile.Mateo competed in the Infantil C Category, corresponding to boys and girls born in 2015, as part of the youngest group in the competition. Participation came in Stages 1 and 3, with four events in each, across the 50 and 100 metre distances and in all swimming styles: freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly.After points were accumulated throughout the championship, the six swimmers with the best overall performance in each category were recognised. Mateo achieved 6th place nationally, an outstanding accomplishment that reflects his effort, consistency and love for the sport.From Colegio CPV Peñalolén, our congratulations go to Mateo for this important sporting milestone, and our encouragement goes with him as he continues swimming with the same passion that has already taken him so far.
