Celebrating talent on World Art Day at CPV Peñalolén

With great pride and heartfelt emotion, Colegio Pedro de Valdivia Peñalolén marked World Art Day with an activity that filled our spaces with colour, creativity and sensitivity. Through an open invitation to all year groups, our students responded with enthusiasm, sharing works that reflected their inner world, their perspective on their surroundings and their passion for art as a means of expression.

During the day, a special exhibition provided the opportunity to showcase these visual creations, highlighting the work and dedication of every participant. Diplomas of recognition were presented as a gesture that valued not only the final result, but also the creative process and each student’s commitment to artistic development.

Among the works presented, the winning piece was created by Mariana, a student in 1°IE, whose proposal received the highest recognition for its depth, technique and emotional impact.Congratulations, Mariana! Your work inspires us to continue celebrating art as a powerful expression of identity and community.

This important selection process was made possible through collaborative work with Miss Angélica, Stefania and Marjorie, to whom we extend our special thanks for their dedication and artistic judgement. Our appreciation also goes to those who helped share and promote this initiative, making this truly meaningful celebration possible.

A particularly moving moment was experienced when the Student Council chose to join the celebration, symbolically recognising one of the participants in front of their peers, reinforcing appreciation among students and a strong sense of community.

In the coming days, this recognition will be further marked by a special presentation from our deputy heads and the Art Coordinator, who deeply value the enthusiasm and talent shown by our students.

At CPV Peñalolén, a strong belief is placed in the power of art to transform, communicate and build connections. Activities such as this remind us that every stroke, colour and form is also a voice that deserves to be heard and celebrated.

Thank you all for being part of this wonderful celebration of art!
